On behalf of Chanelle Jackson and the Houston Parks Board, you are invited to attend the MacGregor Park Renovation Project Groundbreaking Ceremony on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
The event will be held at MacGregor Park, 5225 Calhoun Road, Houston, Texas 77021, at the basketball pavilion. The ceremony will include a speaking program featuring Mayor John Whitmire, along with refreshments provided by local vendors.

Because part of MacGregor Park is already closed for construction, parking for the event will be limited. Attendees are encouraged to consider alternative transportation options when possible, including walking, biking, carpooling, or using the Brays Bayou Greenway trail to access the park. Available public parking will be located in the U-shaped parking area closest to the tennis facility and pool and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
