Project Summary:
The Ost/Almeda Authority is undertaking a comprehensive rehabilitation project along Emancipation Avenue from MacGowen Street to Pierce Street. This initiative aims to enhance roadway conditions, pedestrian accessibility, and overall streetscape safety and functionality.
Scope of Work:
- Street Rehabilitation:
Milling and overlaying of all existing street lanes to improve surface quality and extend pavement life. - Sidewalk Repair and Replacement:
Removal and reconstruction of deteriorated sidewalk segments to ensure safe pedestrian passage. - ADA Accessibility Improvements:
Installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps at intersections and crossings to improve accessibility for all users. - Curb and Gutter Enhancements:
Repair and replacement of curbs and gutters as needed to support proper drainage and structural integrity.
