Project Overview:
The OST/Almeda Corridors Redevelopment Authority – TIRZ #7 is undertaking the construction of resilient and sustainable improvements to streets and the pedestrian realm within the historic Third Ward area. The initiative aims to address deteriorated infrastructure and enhance the public realm to support neighborhood revitalization, economic development, and multi-modal transit opportunities.
Scope of Work:
- Reconstruction of pavement
- Installation of reinforced concrete curbs and gutters
- Construction of 5-foot ADA-compliant sidewalks
- Installation of wheelchair ramps at intersections
- Special landscaping and public utilities upgrades
- Integration of historic and cultural elements
- Enhanced street and pedestrian lighting
